Course Information
Barbering is an essential aspect of hairdressing in salons and barbershops. The course includes an insight into the latest trends in men’s hairdressing and how these can be adapted to suit different hair textures and clients. It is a practical, entry level course that will help build the confidence of men’s barbering techniques. This course is taught by qualified trainers who incorporate theory work, special projects and demonstrations. Your tutor will guide you through the stages of the course and monitor your personal progress. Our students are taught to recognize skin and hair conditions and to understand and appreciate the importance of safety, sanitation and infection control.
Barbering will teach you techniques such as:
- Cut hair using the basic barbering techniques
- Shampoo & conditioning of the hair & scalp
- Facial treatment
- Head massage
- Variety of clipper techniques
- Fashion & trend barbering techniques practice on models throughout the course
